Quilty Love » A quilting creative blog

After making a quilt for each of my kids I decided to make one for me!   I love
the herringbone trend right now so decided to go with that.   I used a variety
of tutorials on pinterest to design this quilt.

I was originally going to hand quilt this one but after finishing
an entire side decided it wasn’t for me.   So I ripped it all out
and machine quilted along the herringbone pattern.

  • Kim Davis - Emily,

Do you have patterns for the Herringbone quilt for sale?
    How can I purchase one?

Thanks for your help. Love this quilt.

    • Emily@QuiltyLove - I don’t have one. Cluck Cluck Sew has a herringbone quilt pattern called Scout. It’s a similar look. :)ReplyCancel

As per usual I was inspired by pinterest for this one.  It’s my first all solids quilt and I love it!
I love the look of solids even though I find prints more fun to sew with :)

  • Linda Card - This is a beautiful 2-color quilt. Simple and fresh. I love the idea of a 2-color quilt and when Pinterest directed me to this blog, I had hoped to find some information about the measurements of strips, link to a pattern that I could buy or even some words about the process you used. I checked your patterns link. Alas no pattern. Nice pictures, though.ReplyCancel

    • Emily@QuiltyLove - Thank you Linda! This is an older one that was inspired from a quilt I found on Pinterest. The original quilt was by Rad and Happy. I didn’t keep track of the measurements :( It’s pretty simple to put together using all strips. A quick measure of my quilt shows the minty green strips are 12″ x 2.5″ and the white strips are 7″ x 2.5″. Hope that helps!ReplyCancel
