Today’s quilt post is one I’m excited to share with you all. Holly of Bijou Lovely has become a very good friend of mine so when she came out with her first fabric line with Cloud 9 Fabrics I was so excited for her. I’m convinced there is no limit to her creative talents so it’s no surprise that her Brush Strokes fabric line combines her painting talents with her sewing talents. Most of her prints are watercolor paintings converted to a fabric medium using her signature color combos.
Hexie Framed Quilt
As soon as this Hello Darling jelly roll showed up at my door, I knew I had to make a Hexie Framed quilt with it. This is the baby size. Sashing fabric is Hello Bear by Art Gallery Fabrics. This quilt is quilted with my tried and true zig zag stitch.
This cotton and steel Hexie Framed quilt is probably my favorite quilt I’ve made so far. It was the quilt that prompted me to write my first pattern. This mix of cotton and steel fabrics makes me swoon. I actually made this with my baby sister in mind so I did pass it on to her even though it was bit hard to let go of. I gave it to her when she came to visit but I must have pulled it out of her stuff 3 times to take more pics ;)
I look forward to making another cotton and steel Hexie Framed in the very near future. :)
