Hi, I’m Emily 🙂

I made my first quilt in 2012.
It was a memory t-shirt quilt for a loved one.
Looking for tutorials for that quilt led me to pinterest where the world of modern quilting
was introduced to me.   I’ve been hooked ever since.  I love the challenge of designing my own quilts.  And the fabric… oh the fabric!

I’m located in southern Minnesota.

  • Here’s some photos of the finished scrap stash log cabin quilt top. This was a fun one! It’s all skinny (1.5”) scraps from my string scrap stash and scrap bins. I did traditional piecing ending up with 7.5 inch blocks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I made myself a guide to follow as I made the blocks. It’s a free download for my newsletter subscribers.   • I finished up this scrap stash log cabin quilt top yesterday and I’m a little sad it’s done. 😅 It was such an enjoyable summer project. I’m thinking about hand quilting this one with some puff batting… I think that would be fun. I made a PDF with all of the measurements for these blocks for my newsletter subscriber.   • I finished up this hand quilted Stained Glass Windows quilt about a month ago and never shared it. It’s up on the blog today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ➡️➡️➡️ Comment BLOG and I’ll DM direct links to the blog post, the pattern and hand quilting supplies. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is the first time I tried hand quilting something other than straight lines. I wasn’t a huge fan of the tiny curves but love the end result. 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This quilt also ended up being way smaller than planned since I stuck with only the small scale gingham rather than a mix of both the big and small.
