  • This solids Jelly Stripes was finished off with the wavy stitch. I’ve been experimenting with technique a little. This time I pinned the middle and started in the middle going line by line - center to the right edge. Then went back and finished center to left edge. And rather than doing every third line, I quilted line by line spaced 3/4” apart. ▪️Quilt pattern - Jelly Stripes - in the shop ▪️ Machine - Janome MC6700p ▪️ Stitch 8 on my machine - the serpentine stitch ▪️ Stitch length - 3.0 ▪️Width - 7.0 ▪️Line Spacing - 3/4” #quiltylove #jellystripesquilt #jellyrollquilt #solidsquilt #stashbuster #wavystitchquilting
  • I finished up my Liberty of London Triangle Pop quilt before I headed off to retreat last week. I love making this quilt. It showcases those prints nicely but also doesn’t use a lot of them. It’s also pretty simple to make. The only ruler I recommend is a flat tipped triangle ruler. My fabric was really dark which made it hard to mark for cutting my triangle sides. So I realized it’s kind of slick to use the cutting mat marks instead.   • This is a good tip if you feel like mixing fabrics is a struggle! Find a print from your stash and build a bundle around it. I thought I would use this Tula Pink print as the backing but in the end this quilt didn’t feel de La Luna worthy. 😆 Pattern is my brand new stash buster called Jelly Stripes.
