Today I’m sharing this fun and happy Star Pop Quilt! This scrappy star quilt is sewn up using the newer Ruby Star Society Animal Animal fabric line.
It’s been a while since I’ve sewn up the original Star Pop quilt pattern. It was a fun one to revisit. If you have this pattern then be sure to check out the improved pressing instructions. I was able to figure out a simpler pressing pattern while making this one.
The Star Pop quilt pattern is available in the Quilty Love pattern shop.
Star Pop Quilt Pattern
This is the original Star Pop quilt pattern that came out several years ago now. There is also a Star Pop II that released a year later. The original Star Pop pattern has rectangular backgrounds, whereas the second one has square backgrounds.
I really liked the look of the rectangle backgrounds in this one. It’s a nice and stash friendly quilt since you can use fat quarters or layer cake squares.
There are lots of quilt sizes in the pattern from baby up to bed size. This Animal Animal one is the large throw size.
Ruby Star Society Animal Animal Fabric
I was excited about this Animal Animal fabric line by Ruby Star Society because it has the best colors! And the cutest little animals of course. I used everything but the low volume prints in this line for this Star Pop quilt.
The star fabric is an older Ruby Star Society grid fabric that is now out of print.
Long arm quilting
I sent this one off to Modern Textiles for long arm quilting.
It’s finished off with a Ruby Star Society Speckled binding and a natural backing that was in my stash. It’s from the Ruby Star Society Koi Pond fabric line.
