Stepping Stars is brand new and in the shop! This star quilt block uses a construction method that ensures sharp points every time. It’s a really great star block for beginners or really anyone who likes those sharp points without any effort.
This one has easy and fun assembly.

Stash friendly quilt pattern
As per usual, this quilt pattern is written with your fabric stash in mind. You can use fat eighths or fat quarters or even your scrap stash. You don’t need a ton of fabric for each star block making it a great stash option.
Choose a fabric for the stars and the background. You can use the same fabric for both or choose something more neutral for the stars and more of a pop of color for the background like I did here.
Ruby Star Society Carousel Fabrics
This version of Stepping Stars is sewn up using this fun and playful line called Carousel by Ruby Star Society. I paired it with a neutral star (leftover fabric from previous projects) and a gorgeous lavender Add It Up background.
Long Arm Quilting
This star quilt was sent off to Modern Textiles for quilting. We went with classic clamshells.
