  • This scrappy Cozy Checkered Hearts got the grid treatment. I first quilted one inch vertical lines and then one inch horizontal lines. I started on one edge and stitched one inch lines to the other edge without ever flipping the quilt. I pin basted this one on the counter. I do lots of smoothing on both sides. You didn’t see me flip it a couple of times. Some fabrics work better than others using this method. These Art Gallery fabrics cling to the cotton batting really nicely making them a good candidate for counter basting. This new heart pattern is in the shop.
