Fableism Lumiére Plaids Triangle Peaks quilt
Today I’m sharing this Fableism Lumiére Plaids Triangle Peaks quilt! I made this pretty blue and plaid quilt a few months back.
I’m quickly becoming a fan of plaid fabric in quilts. So far I’ve only used it for triangle quilts but I need to venture out and try some other designs too. These Fableism plaid fabrics are so so gorgeous.
Triangle Peaks is one of the classic Quilty Love patterns that came out a while back. It’s still a fun one to sew up. It all goes together using 60 degree triangles. The Triangle Peaks quilt pattern is available in the Quilty Love pattern shop.

Triangle Peaks quilt pattern
Triangle Peaks is one of the Quilty Love triangle quilt patterns. This one goes together using 60 degree triangles. I recommend this flat tipped quilt ruler for this triangle quilt.
Triangle Peaks is a fun and modern triangle quilt pattern that has nice big triangles to really showcase your fabrics.
It’s fat quarter, fat eighth and 1/4 yard friendly.
Triangle Peaks includes instructions for four quilt sizes: baby, throw, twin and queen.
Fableism Lumiére Plaid wovens fabrics
These new Lumiére Plaid wovens by Fableism are so gorgeous! These are a wider width fabrics which makes them good for quilting or garment making. The plaid is a little larger scale so these big triangles worked out well to really showcase the plaid. And of course, like all Fableism fabrics, the colors are so rich and dreamy.
I paired these plaids with Fableism Sprout wovens in Midnight and Stellar. I’ve been using a lot of darker blues in my quilts lately and it’s been a nice change from a more basic white background.
Pre-washing Wovens
I did pre-wash all of these fabrics before cutting into them. I only pre-wash Fableism Wovens because they do shrink up quite a bit more than a quilting cotton. Pre-washing pre-shrinks them so there are no popped seams or surprises down the road with the quilt.

I was a little short on my background fabric so I extended my plaid triangles to the edges. I kind of like the seamless look it gives. The pattern has you using background fabric on the very edges rather than running the print triangles off of the quilt. If you prefer this look, then swap out those edge background triangles with your prints.

Wavy Stitch Quilting
This plaid Triangle Peaks quilt was quilted up using the wavy stitch. You can view the full tutorial here.
And it finished off with a Fableism Midnight Camp Gingham backing.
