Quilty Beads Quilt Pattern – The baby Cotton and Steel One

The Quilty Beads quilt pattern is the second new Quilty Love pattern available today.

Quilty Beads is inspired by just that… beaded jewelry.  I really loved this design that is common in beaded jewelry work.  I love how the simple design translated to fabric.

The Quilty Beads quilt pattern is a beginner friendly and precut friendly quilt pattern.  I’m looking forward to watching this quilt pattern made up in many different ways.  I’ve already made three versions myself 😉  This quilt is a pretty quick one to make and a fun one to put together.

Quilty Beads comes in two block sizes.  This Cotton and Steel version of Quilty Beads is the small block version.

The small block version is jelly roll, layer cake, fat eighth and fat quarter friendly.  This small block version comes in baby, throw and twin sizing.

The large block version of Quilty Beads is fat eighth and fat quarter friendly.  The large block version comes in baby, throw, twin and queen sizing.  There are 7 size options for this quilt pattern!

I pulled from my stash for this Quilty Beads baby quilt.  It is made up of mostly Cotton and Steel fabrics with a few others mixed in.  I’m making a hand sewn hexie quilt with these fabrics but I’ve kind of stalled out on it so decided to put them to good use.  Quilty Beads is backed in this fun Simple Simon Co star fabric.  It’s a pieced backing with the raindrops down below.  I love the black and white that is found through out this quilt.  I think black can be such a modern color to add to a quilt.  This baby quilt was pieced and quilted on a Janome MC6700p.  I went with a simple diagonal lines quilting pattern using my walking foot.   The lines are spaced one inch apart.
