The Alison Glass Star Pop II quilt

Today I’m sharing this bright and colorful Alison Glass Star Pop II quilt! I sewed this quilt up a year ago when I was first planning out the Star Pop pattern. It uses an older Alison Glass fabric line called Road Trip.

Star Pop II is a quick and easy sawtooth star quilt pattern. It comes in several sizes including this square throw size.

Star Pop II is a spin off of the original Star Pop quilt pattern and features less stars and simpler piecing.

The Star Pop II quilt pattern is in the Quilty Love pattern shop.

Star Pop II quilt pattern

Star Pop II is a quick and easy sawtooth star quilt pattern. It was written at the same time as the original Star Pop quilt pattern. I couldn’t decide which direction to go with it design wise so I went with both! Star Pop II has less stars and more fabric featured. It has simpler piecing than the original Star Pop quilt.

It also features square patchwork instead of rectangles.

Good Beginner friendly star quilt pattern

Star Pop II is a good beginner friendly star quilt pattern because the construction makes it nearly impossible to lose any star points. So no worries of blunt star tips on this one!

Star Pop II includes instructions for all of the quilt sizes. Here is what is included in the quilt pattern:

Pre-cut and fat quarter friendly quilt pattern

Star Pop II is very pre-cut and stash friendly! Use fat quarters, fat eighths, layer cake squares, half yards, quarter yards or your scrap stash for this fun and modern star quilt.

I started this Alison Glass Star Pop II quilt a year ago so I don’t have very many in progress photos.

Long Arm quilting

I sent this star quilt off to Modern Textiles for quilting. I love this Ikat quilting pantograph. It’s such a good one!

The striped binding is a fabric from the Road Trip fabric line. Road Trip is an older line and getting really hard to find. You might find some of it on etsy here.

Square size throw quilt

I’m not usually a fan of square size quilts but this pattern worked out well as a square. So the pattern includes a square size throw like this one and a large throw size. I’d call this square throw a medium size throw. It’s 60″ x 60″ so still a good size.
