Coins quilt – a charm friendly quilt pattern
Today I’m sharing this Coins quilt! This is an oldie! I made this quilt top using Fig Tree and Co Ella and Ollie fabrics. I sewed up this quilt top back in 2018 and finally just quilted it a few weeks back.
Coins is a pre-cut friendly quilt pattern that was released in 2018. It’s charm, layer cake, jelly roll, fat eighth and fat quarter friendly.
The Coins quilt pattern is available in the quilt love pattern shop.
Coins quilt pattern – Precut friendly!
Coins is the most pre-cut friendly Quilty Love quilt pattern! You can use any of the following precuts for this pattern:
- Charm squares (5 inch squares)
- Layer cake squares (10 inch squares)
- Jelly roll (2.5 inch strips)
- Fat eighths
- Fat quarters
- Or use your scrap stash!
Lots of quilt sizes included
The Coins quilt pattern includes tons of quilt sizes in the instructions:
- Baby size – 42″ x 48″
- Lap size – 50″ x 61″
- Throw size – 58″ x 74″ (shown here)
- Twin bed size – 74″ x 87″
- Queen bed size – 90″ x 113″
Somehow this quilt top has been sitting in my stash since 2018. It just needed one more side border attached so I finally added it and quilted it up recently.
Wavy Stitch quilting
I went with my go to quilting design – the wavy stitch. It’s easy and mindless and I always love the texture it provides. I have a full youtube tutorial for it here.
I finished off this charm friendly quilt with a bias striped binding. I think it’s an older Bonnie and Camille print.
