This cotton and steel Hexie Framed quilt is probably my favorite quilt I’ve made so far. It was the quilt that prompted me to write my first pattern. This mix of cotton and steel fabrics makes me swoon. I actually made this with my baby sister in mind so I did pass it on to her even though it was bit hard to let go of. I gave it to her when she came to visit but I must have pulled it out of her stuff 3 times to take more pics 😉
I look forward to making another cotton and steel Hexie Framed in the very near future. 🙂
We snapped some quick pictures during the sunset one evening my sister was here. It was freezing! And we tromped through many of feet of snow in my backyard to get these pics.
This was the snow in our backyard just a couple of weeks ago 🙁 My picket fence is almost buried!
Love seeing that quilt thrown on Jean’s bed! So pretty! I hate to say, but I spent a good part of this morning on pinterest looking at quilts. Had to start a quilting board. Itching to make one.
Love that! Maybe we should make our trip a weekend crafting get away 😉
Emily- absolutely love love your quilting and colors. I have a pile of fabric but can’t seem to get started. Your mom just sent me your link I didn’t know you have made so many. Awesome! I gotta get started. Thanks for the inspiration. Love, Linda
Hi Linda! Glad you found my site 🙂 A lot of quilting happens around here in the winter! Loving my quiet days quilting while the kids are in school. You really should start up! It’s so fun to have a project going.
Very nice! I actually just finished a hexagon quilt with white sashing too 🙂 I was loosely following the Honey pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. Looks like a fun photo shoot! And it is hard to let a quilt go, isn’t it?
